To view the cluster configuration log
- Open Command Prompt
- Locate the ClCfgSrv.log file.
By default, the log file for the New Server Cluster Wizard and the Add Nodes Wizard can be found at %systemroot%\system32\LogFiles\Cluster\ClCfgSrv.log.
- Use any text editor to view the log file.
Important
-
After using the New Server Cluster Wizard and the Add Nodes Wizard from a remote computer, the cluster configuration log file generated by those wizards is saved to the remote computer.
This log file may contain company-sensitive data such as a complete description of the cluster configuration, including IP addresses.
This information could be used by malicious users to attack the cluster; it is recommended that you restrict access to that file to cluster administrators and the Cluster service account. For more information, see Best practices for securing server clusters.
